Proud to be an American

Shrieking Shack

No matter how many times I see it, the American flag makes me smile and is something that I will never get tired of taking pictures of. When I look at the colors and how they make me feel they are something that is really indescribable. I’m proud to be an American and though many in this country have lost their way and I have even heard the words “Embarrassed, Ashamed and Disgusted” associated with America in the past few years. I truly do believe even those people will find their way back to realize that we really do live in the greatest country in the world. (Hopefully they will learn before we have to fight to get it back)

Todd.....I too am proud to be an American, and our flag is the most beautiful of all flags....your photo of the flag is brilliant with the red, white and blue.

Posted by Barbara Todaro "Franklin MA Homes" (RE/MAX Executive Realty ) about 2 years ago

Yes! It's a show-stopper! You reminded me, time to get it flying again on my porch.  And puh-leese buy one made in the USA if you're in the market for a new flag.

Todd,

Gorgeous picture!  I just hung up a flag plaque with God Bless America on it on the door today.  It's a great country!

All the best, Michelle

Todd, I am one of the most patriotic people you will ever meet and am proud, YES, PROUD! to be an American and the flag represents the FREEDOMS we enjoy EVERY DAY. Thank you for bringing that to light!

I'm with you on this one.  Our flag, our anthem. We should all take pride in these things.

Todd,

To live in this country is indeed a great blessing. I try to live the values instilled in me by my forebearers and represent this country to others with my best foot forward. The individuals are definitely what makes this country so great. Thanks for your post.

Hello Todd, I love the Flag for all it represents and the great amount of human flesh and blood that has been sacrificed in it's name. I fly it with dignity in front of my home daily. I love the photo and so agree with the sentiment. You are a Good American, Todd!

Hi Todd... that's a wonderful photo and sentiment.  I loved my time living in Washington DC... all the flags flying there made me feel so proud to be an American.

Todd, well put!  I also hope that we don't lose sight of what we have, before it's gone!

Todd, I agree with that. I think too one of the important lessons I've learned is that protecting our freedoms (and our constitution) is a full time occupation for each of us.

Posted by Lynn Krogseng (Keller Williams Premier Partners) about 2 years ago

Freedom...it seems....cannot be passed down....it has to be served up.

Posted by Jim Hale - On the MOVE for You! Eugene - Springfield Oregon Real Estate (ACTIONAGENTS.NET) about 2 years ago

I agree.

The fight has already started.

We've started taking our country back from corporate America by electing our last President.

And I'm confident that those who have lost their way will find it again.

Our present administration is helping them find it with the legislation they've passed so quickly for those who needed it.

Thanks for the post........

I know what you mean.....I wish everyone treated the flag with respect and took care of it...the other day I was showing a home and saw one at the house being flown all tatterred and ripped...disgraceful!

Todd, that is a very nice flag. Even when America has problems, it is still one of the best places in the world to live.

I'm with you, Todd. The Star Spangled Banner and America The Beautiful always bring tears to my eyes...

Well said Todd.  When I look at that flag, I think of how much sacrifice was done for us to make it to the original flag we had, let alone now.  We need to stand up for what America was founded on, before there is no America left.

Great job of capturing "Old Glory". The colors are so vivid, and it does have a regal air to it.

Posted by Lisa Hill (Daytona Beach Real Estate) (Florida Property Experts) about 2 years ago

I'm glad everyone enjoyed that picture as much as I did. This country has done some major changes in the wrong direction in the past 50 years going against the constitution every chance it gets both Republican and Democratic. (No finger pointing because both sides are guilty) We need to get back to what our fore fathers envisioned for this country and that was a country where the people decided how much the government got and not the government deciding how much they could take from us. (Our borrow against our future)
