Wordless Wednesday: Love Blossoming

Roses are red my love

Nothing to say here besides that I love the beauty of roses. But when I get close to them like I did here, within 30 minutes my eyes swell shut and my nose usually starts to bleed. (Love alergy season) Maybe, just maybe this year will be different. I do have to admit I almost named this "Roses are Red My Love" after the wonderful 1960s song. But, in the end Love Blossoming won.

Todd,

Nice picture. I agree. I am always telling people that life does not need to be that stressful, take time stop and smell the roses, in your case smell them from afar. Thanks for the post.

Nice shot.  Roses really do have a beautiful shape to them.  I hate allergies I get killed every year, I'm hoping that this year is better than last as well.

Hi Todd,

Sorry to hear about your allergies to roses! They are my favorite and even though you should not smell, it is a reminder we need to, "Stop and smell the roses".

Such a beautiful shot Todd, I can almost smell it! Love it!

Sorry about your allergies, Todd; and you live in rose country! Doesn't seem quite fair.

Todd, be careful, that one looks as if there's more blooming to be had.  Thanks for sharing the love!

Gorgeous - Gorgeous - Gorgeous!  George and I loved roses and always had them growing in our yard.  Each spring we took such delight in them.  We had at least 25 different varieties and would cut them and bring them in to grace our dining room table - but we had to stop.  No, neither of us had allergies, but we had a cat, Fisbo (who lived to the ripe old age of 18) who thought roses were HER treats!  Unfortunately they made her sick to her stomach, but she couldn't resist them.

Good Morning Todd,

A Beautiful photo. Sorry to hear of your allergy to roses. Is that true of all flowers or just roses .

Todd - Another amazing picture!  Allergy season is no fun and it stinks that beauty like this causes them.

Hey Todd, this is a beautiful rose but isn't it a little early to have roses blooming around here?  This must be an indoor rose :)

I am allergic to all flowers unfortunately. Art, that was taken at a local green house, so it was taken recently.

Todd - What a super photo.  How sad that you're allergic to all flowers and don't get to enjoy them up close.

Todd, what a beautiful rose....sorry to hear you are allergic to all flowers...what a bummer,  But, you can enjoy the beauty of the flowers.

My eyes started itching just looking at it Todd.  My Dad says he passed the allergies to me so that I would never forget him. Kind of twisted don't you think?

Todd,

This is an outstanding photo of the rose. It has that dusty look to it, so is it a dusty rose? That was the official color of our school red. :)

Beautiful Rose Todd, and a great shot.  With the photo to look at you won't get the allergy acting up.

Thank you Steve, I am truly honored. Cynthia, I was using a Nikon D90, with a Tamron 90mm Macro lens and the SB600 defused flash.

This is the stage of a rose that I love the most.  It's not just starting, but it's not in full bloom, either.  Nice shot, and I hope your nose didn't bleed too long :)
