Today we found a park that we were glad we hunted out. Hideaway Park is a little park just off Olsen Road but it has no signs to tell you it’s there. Once we found it we were glad we did or at least the kids were glad we did. (LOL) This park was something different than most parks in the Beaverton, Tigard area.
This park doesn’t have much, but because of the unusual stuff it did have made the kids not want to leave. The first toy they spotted was a spinney toy that was a lot of fun for the kids. There was a slide with no walls, basketball hoops and even a little trail going through the park.
This park has the normal stuff too, like swings and a slide, but that certainly wasn’t where most of the time was spent. That simple spinney thing, pictured above, was a huge hit! So, if you are interested in giving your child some new and unusual toys to play with at a park, then check out Hideaway Park, it will be well worth it.

Todd,
Love the name - Hideaway Park. It sounds like a great place to get away just from the name.
It's fun how it's not the normal stuff that kept them interested. Everyone likes to explore, young and old.
All the best, Michelle
Hi, Todd. I take my dogs to run and swim in the little lake at Pickett State Park here in Jamestown, Tennessee almost every day. It's small and private and absolutely delightful...I'm always amazed that so few people seem to have found it.
As a family man, Todd, you get to see so many parks. I'm sure your kids appreciate your research also =)
Thanks for the timely post,
Paul
WOw,, that does sound like a gem and reminds me of all the fun I had with my parents and sisters/brothers in parks growing up...ahhh to be young again!!
Todd ---- What a nice presentation of the Hideaway Park -- makes me want to take Eliza there -- your children are sooooooo cute.

It really was a great little park with just the perfect name. Thanks everyone for stopping by and maybe if you are ever in Oregon, my family will take you there. The kids were disappointed when they asked if they could go again today and I had to tell them that the Oregon rain had returned and their week of sunshine was over.
