The City of Portland has announced a new iPhone application that you can report problems such a pot holes, flooding, ice, or whatever the problem, directly to the city. It’s called “City of Portland Citizen Reports” and it will be sent to them immediately.

Now, I have to say I’m going to
try this new application out
on my iPhone and see how quickly the problem that I’ve known about for
years,
and have complained about for years, gets fixed. So, today I’m taking
my iPhone
down to the City of Portland, taking a picture of city hall and the
council’s
chambers, and see if the problem finally gets fixed.
Yep, I think there is a
huge problem with the City of Portland and that problem
is its mayor and the city council. So do you think this new iPhone
application
can fix that?

What if there was a way you could search the MLS for FREE just like Realtors
Now you can access the MLS using similar tools as Realtors. You are in control of what you want to search for, and you can search the MLS at your leisure. The information you submit in the form below can also be used to put you on an automated system where you'll be emailed all homes that meet your search criteria. You'll get internet access to a website that includes pictures, prices, and addresses to real estate that's listed in the MLS!

Too funny, Todd! Portland isn't alone with that issue.
Good luck with getting that problem fixed Todd! It an interesting idea, I wonder how effective this app will be?
Todd,
No, but I am impressed by the app! Very forward thinking!
All the best getting the mayor and city council out, Michelle
Todd I think most of us could complain about that problem.
Hi Todd - Looks like the city is making an effort to be able to deal with the problems. In our town, we can draw a circle around any problem ara with spray paint and magically, the truck comes around and patches the street. I learned this trick when I saw a truck going around and drawing a circle around potholes, and I asked them about it. One of our neighbors recently did that to a little hole on our block and a few days later, there they were, fixing it. Allegedly, they have trucks out all day looking for the circles that the other crew makes, so we just "help" the process along.
Ya got me on the fence here, Todd! Is this a joke? Seriously, I feel stupid for even asking because I could see some cities wanting to try and be more "social" and interactive with its residents.
Leesa, this is a real application for the Iphone the have here in Portland, but when I saw it I couldn't help but make a joke out of it. I went down to city hall, got my picture and sent them the problem with their sewer.
Todd,
You are so bad! I guess you are making a political statement though aren't you.
I'm sure they will get right to it. Very subtle.
Very cool Todd. Portland sure is a modern city with some forward thinkers.
Todd, that is a really neat application. Unfortunately your wacko neighbors vote those idiots in and a nifty application will not take care of them.
Portland won't even recall a Mayor that admits to lying about seducing an under-age intern while running for office!!
No, although all powerful, I do not think the Iphone can cure what is wrong with your town.......
Todd, this is too cool and shows how far the app thing is going. I can't wait to see how this works with the new line of phones hitting the market.
