But, this Thursday, I will be getting my new Nikon D90 camera voted the number one SDLR camera out there that isn’t a professional model by consumer reports. Now, I’m really hoping to capture some of those pictures that I’ve been missing over the past couple years and really get to show you what Beaverton and Tigard, Oregon are like through the eyes of my lens. My dad has the Nikon D40X and though it is no longer made, I knew Nikon was the way to go for me for the ease of use the pictures that it took are just amazing and that is what I was looking for in a camera.

So, hopefully you can enjoy my new camera as much as I will and enjoy even more pictures of Beaverton and Tigard and really get to see it through my eyes rather than what the camera thinks I want to take a picture of.

What if there was a way you could search the MLS for FREE just like Realtors
Now you can access the MLS using similar tools as Realtors. You are in control of what you want to search for, and you can search the MLS at your leisure. The information you submit in the form below can also be used to put you on an automated system where you'll be emailed all homes that meet your search criteria. You'll get internet access to a website that includes pictures, prices, and addresses to real estate that's listed in the MLS!

I've been using various flavors of the Nikon Coolpix since they came out. It's a great product. You should be able to get some fantastic shots with a SDLR.
I've got one of the Nikon big D's and just love it. But I still never leave home without my little Pentax point and shoot!
Todd - I look forward to seeing all your future pictures. Have a great weekend!
Hi Todd, I look forward to seeing your pictures. I've been thinking about getting a new camera, but haven't been able to decide what would be best. I think I'll go take a look at a Nikon.
Hi Todd..Have Fun with your New Toy, we'll be looking forward to some photo scenes of your area.
Todd, have fun with your new toy! We have a Nikon D50 and love it!
Todd - as the proud over of a nikon d50 for the last 2 years, I can tell you that we will be amazed.
Congrats on your new toy. I try to use a relatively cheap camera for my work due to the areas I frequent. I often wish I had more control over the way it worked. I may have to invest in a Nikon soon......
Todd - you will absolutely LOVE the D90 and all the things that you can do with it! I still use a flip camera for easy party videos, etc, but the video function from the D90 allows you to do so much more with all of the lenses, etc.
Some suggestions: stay with Nikkor lenses and get some quality filters (u/v haze, polarization, color), get a tripod that you can use for virtual tours and can do panoramas of the room, 18-55 wide angle, 35-100 and 70-210 (for your nature photography); and most of all take a class on how to use the camera and improve your image quality. Since most wide angle lenses have a wider field of reference than the digital image, you will see what looks like shadows around the corners of your pictures - no worry - photoshop them and you will have a masterpiece!
Hi Todd - We'll hold you to it! I love Oregon. I've visited it many times and now my daughter and her husband live there. They've had a good-sized cattle ranch in the Roseburg area for several years. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your part of Oregon.
Bring those pictures on Todd. I need a new camera myself don't know if I will go that fancy but you never know.
Todd ---- will look forward to your new photos -- after I see yours, maybe I'll have to get one of those fancy Nikons, too.

Todd,
Congratulations on your D90. I am still using my D70 but the camera you are getting is great. :)
Steve
Hi Todd... it sounds like this is a gift to yourself that will give back to many! I can't wait to see what you shoot with it!
Hi Todd, I know you will enjoy your new camera and look forward to seeing more of your photos!
Todd can't wait to see your pics.
Todd,
Let us know what the learning curve is on it. My wife wants one as well.
I guess your next pix will be with the new camera. Looking forward to seeing them!
I look forward to seeing your new photos. We were looking at getting one in the near future and instead she got another camera for her birthday.

Congrats on the upgrade Todd! I got a D5000 for Christmas and have probably taken 6000 photos in the past month or so, its a lot of fun.
All I can say is that I'm so glad I got that camera, it has been the best decision I have ever made. I love taking pictures that turn out exactly like I want them too.
