The Secrets of Droon

The Hidden Stairs and the Magic Carpet

The Hidden Stairs and the Magic CarpetThe Secrets of Droon is an exciting book. Its about 3 kids, Eric, Julie and Neal, who find a magic staircase in Eric's basement, in a closet, while they were cleaning it. The staircase leads to a a magical place called Droon. There they meet a princess, who is also a wizard, named Keeah. She needs to stop Sparr, who wants to conquer Droon. Because Keeah promised to help them get home, Eric, Julie and Neal decide to help Keeah stop Sparr and his ninns on groggles, which are big flying lizards.

Before Keeah left to distract the Ninns, she left a message with Eric to deliver to Galen the 1st wizard of Droon. But its in code, so the Ninns, if they got a hold of it, they couldn't read it. But Keeah was captured trying to stop Sparr from getting the red eye of dawn, which would give him enough power to conquer Droon. So Eric, Julie, Neal and Max (whom they meet and is a spider troll) go to save her. But then they meet Sparr and they get trapped. They manage to escape but only after Sparr got the red eye of Dawn. They end up trapping themselves in a storage room with a bunch of rugs, not just any rugs, but flying rugs. They all climb onto one and fly out. While they are flying, they see the stairs they used to enter Droon and they head home.

I loved this book. It was full of adventure.

Meesha & Todd,  this sounds like a great book.  I will have to check it out for my son!

Meesha -

After hearing about this story I went to check my basement to see if I. too, had a magic staircase.

But (shock):  I don't have a basement.

Maybe one of Sparr's ninns strapped it on the back of a groggle and whisked it away.

What do you think?
