Saturday it was time for my son and I to get rid of the mops that were forming on our heads, but where should we go? You see our old barber had retired and it now had been a couple months and we finally had to make a decision on what place to TRY! (For you that have been reading my blog posts for over two years, I retired the Flowbee last March, after 15 years, it finally died)
For the record, trying a new place to get your hair cut is not a fun experience, you don’t know what to expect or even if you are going to like the place. But, this wasn’t that difficult because the person we were trying for the first time was my old barber’s sister!
She had a place about three miles from my old barbers place and her place is called Plaza Hair Care and it is actually closer to my house than my old barber, Vee’s place was. Prices were still great and I got an awesome haircut! My son also now looks like a little man instead of a shaggy dog.
If you are in Tigard and need a great place to get your hair done, then I suggest you check out Plaza Hair Care located at 13815 SW Pacific Hwy #30, Tigard, Oregon, 97223. The only problem I had was she didn’t take credit or debit cards, but my son got ice cream because I walked next door and picked him up an ice cream sandwich and pulled $30 out for the haircuts. (So, I guess I was the only one that was bothered by that – lol)

It is always tough to replace a hair stylist or barber --- sometimes one has to go thru some bad haircuts in the process.

I can relate to your experience. I had one of the best sylist on this planet and she up and moved on me, and since a commute from Georgia to Alabama for a haircut was not in the cards, I went 6 months without getting my hair cut due to dread and fear of not finding someone who was just as good. I had to go through one bad hair cut to find her.
Finding someone that makes the cuts just right every time is a daunting task. I would hate to find someone new again.
At least they have got to cut hair better than a vacuum attachment eh? I love it furgality over self respect! You and I are going to get along just fine!
