You have heard when someone gets bad service that person will tell 10 people, but Sunday night my wife and I went out and I have to say we got great service, so I’m going to do my best to tell 10,000 people!
It all started Sunday afternoon after church when my parents decided to take the kids for the night and told my wife and I to go out. Being it has been a very long time since it has just been the two of us we took it. (Of course, we took Monday morning to go start Christmas shopping before we picked up the kids!)
So, we decided to go to Red
Lobster in Tigard (Click here for a map)
and get
their endless shrimp platter. We got there and they said it would be
about a 10
minute wait and I was happy to find out it was actually only about a 5
minute
wait and they sat us at the back at a fairly private table.
Our server, Lyndi, pictured to the right, was
absolutely amazing! She gave us
some suggestions of what shrimp to try. (Do try the Teriyaki!) Once we
got our
first serving of shrimp, she suggested we order our second since it
takes a
little bit to prep the next batch, she didn’t want us to be left
waiting. (and
she never did!) Our plates and our drinks were never empty and the only
time we
ever had to call her over to the table was to take her picture!
Now, I will admit when I went I was convinced I wasn’t going to order anything other than the coconut shrimp as I could live on that stuff, but by the end my taste buds were in an argument to which one was the best, the coconut or the Teriyaki. I have to say based on Lyndi and her service, we are going to go back again, but this time make sure we are seated in her section because that is way service is supposed to be!
If you are looking for good seafood, I can certainly tell you Red Lobster does have some great food and really amazing prices.

What if there was a way you could search the MLS for FREE just like Realtors
Now you can access the MLS using similar tools as Realtors. You are in control of what you want to search for, and you can search the MLS at your leisure. The information you submit in the form below can also be used to put you on an automated system where you'll be emailed all homes that meet your search criteria. You'll get internet access to a website that includes pictures, prices, and addresses to real estate that's listed in the MLS!

Todd, I'm happy to hear you got good service at Red Lobster and are publicly recognizing Lyndi. What I'm surprised about is that you're going Christmas shopping now. Good for you to get a jump on it.
Hi Todd, when I get great service I'm off to tell my friends and family and whoever else will listen. How fortunate Red Lobster has an employee like Lyndi who exemplifies the service we all want in the service industry! Hope you and your wife enjoyed the evening out.
Good for you, Todd, for spreading the word about your great service ---we all need to remember to do that.
Mama Liz
Todd, I love great customer service, especially when eating out at restaurants. This is a very nice write-up for Red Lobster but an even better one for Lyndee!
Todd,
Red Lobster is one of my favorites as well, but it makes it that much more pleasurable when you get great service. You should absolutely pass it on to others. Thanks for sharing
Todd,
We always look good when we're saying nice things about others. Glad you had a good time.
The most successful are not always the most knolgeable but the best at getting the job done while holding the client's hand. Just like your new friend Lyndi.

Todd, What a great idea to spread the good word. It seems we someties dwell on the bad out there far too much. Thanks for showing us a great example of good.
Todd, it's so nice that you actually took the time to write such a nice post about Lyndi. Maybe someone should send it to her boss.
Always great to hear a great review - I'll bet the 24 hours of no kids made a big differance in the day too
John
Hey Todd -I was looking at your associates listing and city names and I noticed, chiliwack, b.c. missing! :-) But I think you added me - thank you! :-) Being a woman, and if I were her I might not like the angle of that photo up there - maybe some creative cropping? lol
Todd, that was nice of the parents to take the children so you guys could have some time-that is important for marriages! My husband loves Red Lobster!
Well, everyone, it isn't often that I get this type of service and when I do, I will gladly shout it from the rooftops. I did end up sending a copy of this to their corporate offices. (So hopefully she will be rewarded for being such a great employee!)

My middle daughter is in the same profession. It's a thankless profession(at times) and they need accolades from patrons who come to the restaurants. Just like we do as realtors.
