Last
Monday, on our way back
from Utah, my Jeep decided to break down. It was not an
expensive break
down or
even a hard one to fix, but it still required a part that took me
almost 4
hours to get. (It took less than a minute to replace, once I had the
part, but
4 hours to find.)
This is where LearnKey in
Salt Lake City, Utah, stepped up to the plate
and
impressed me and my family. You see at 7am when my car
broke down and
we came
off the freeway, we ended up in their parking lot stuck far away from
home and
not a store would be open for a couple hours.

As the employees arrived, each came and asked if everything was alright, made sure our kids knew where their bathrooms were and even gave our new pet pig some water. It was a long 4 hours trying to find the part, but once we did, one of their great employees, without asking for anything in return, drove me to the auto parts store for the part.
Basically, they made it so I didn’t have to walk 1 hour in each direction to the parts store, just to get back on the road to home. So, I would like to thank LearnKey in Utah. If you are ever in need of educational videos, I suggest you give them a call, I know I will. A company that is willing to help someone when they aren’t spending money with them is the kind of people I want to work with. It says a lot about them.

What if there was a way you could search the MLS for FREE just like Realtors
Now you can access the MLS using similar tools as Realtors. You are in control of what you want to search for, and you can search the MLS at your leisure. OK there Todd! I still need to have your itinerary for this coming up weekend!
Nice to see good o;;d fashio ervice! Nice Job!
Todd, glad this day out OKAY for you and the family. I would just like to reiterate what you said in the post, because I couldn't agree more..."A company that is willing to help someone when they aren’t spending money with them is the kind of people I want to work with. It says a lot about them".
It NEVER fails. If I need something to make me feel warm and fuzzy, all I need to do is pull up a few ActiveRain blogs and it isn't long before I run across a story that gives me goosebumps! Love it! Well done folks at LearnKey!
Todd,
Good people surround us and generally show themselves when we need them, if we've even slightly approachable.
Sorry to hear about the trouble, but it was a great lesson in humanity for the kids.

Todd - Great story and thanks for posting for you always meet the best professionals by referral.
Todd - What a weekend! First Athena escapes and then your jeep breaks down. I always believe that things happen for a reason no matter how much of an inconvenience it might seem to be at the time. Glad it all worked out and kudos to LearnKey for being such good Samaritans.
Oh yeaahhh, It was a pet pig; not a new dog. Hope the family is enjoying the new pig. It's awesome that LearnKey did this for you. If you are ever in Texas, you will get the same hospitality. :o)
Pet pig? where's the dog?
So great to hear this story. Wish there were more companies and employees like them.
I have three kittens to give if you want to drive to Texas.
Thanks for the inspiration for my next post. My Jeep broke down last Thursday. I'll fill you in on my next post. Thanks Todd. Good to have great people there.
Todd,
At least something good came from your troubles. It's always great to hear there are people who help just because.
Well, it takes great people to give that great self-less service. But it takes a great person to stop and say thanks.
I'm sure those people in Utah could tell you a little Bible story about how Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one came back to thank him. Christ's response: "Were there not ten healed...?"
Thanks for doing the post. Now we all know both aspects of your story.
Thankfulness is a commandment.
Todd - It is a nice change to read a positive testimonial about various service industries instead of pointing out the negative. I am glad it worked out for you and your family.
Been to Utah once in my life. I always thought the folks were very freindly, now I know why.
The people there were very friendly and not once did I not feel unwelcome. I actually was talking to my wife about how it wouldn't be a bad place to live and then we found out we were there on a very unusually cool week. Decided way to hot of a place for us! We like our four seasons here, Cold rain followed by warmer rain followed warm rain followed by cooler rain mixed with fallen leaves (LOL)
You were in the right place and at the right time. I've never been out "west" but it's good to know there are still people left who are willing to help in time of need.
