With all the recent rain here in
Oregon, I believe we are at 56 out of the last 65 days,
land slides are becoming a huge problem. Especially for those who build
upon rivers and mountain sides.
Though they have a great view, the place where they built is slowly being washed away. Now, my parents have been lucky, they have the view, but no signs of errosion yet. Now, their neighbors on the other hand, have loss the use of their deck by order of the county.
Will their house be there next year at this time? I don't know, but I do feel sorry for them for the amount of money they spent to get the permits and every thing from the county that told them that it would be safe to build there.
Now to be told they may have to move because of safety concerns. Now, will they get their money back from the county, since they were the ones that told them it was safe to build there? We all know the answer to that!
