I’ve
heard some people say they can’t work out of their homes because of
their kids. I’m one of the lucky ones that when I’m on the
phone my kids know that it is a time to be quiet because Daddy is
trying to make money.
There
is also many times when I’m in the car and the phone rings and all
three kids are in the back seat talking. My kids
immediately go quiet and sometimes I’ll hear from the back seat “Shhh,
Daddy is trying to make money” I love to hear that, but do my clients?
You bet,
they don’t want to hear kids during a business transaction.
There are two incidences that I
can think of where I was on the phone with clients with the kids in the
car and I was talking to the client for more than 30
minutes and they both at the times asked me something about my kids and
I said “Let me ask” Both times, they said, “they are with you? They are
so quiet,
I didn’t hear a thing, that is some impressive parenting if you can
keep kids quiet for 30 minutes.”
I
have to say I’m very proud of my kids and how they understand business
and how them
being quiet if even for 30 minutes can help bring money in to the home.
This is my public thank you to my kids, even though I thank them daily,
I think the world needs to understand how important my kids are to me
and that they are just as much a part of my business as I am.
I hope one day my kids can follow in my foot steps and start their own businesses as I truly believe owning your own business is the only true way to financial freedom.
